Activating and facilitating collaborative spaces to create, experiment, listen to and think with images, moving images, visual arts and writing is at the heart of MTC Digital Creative.

Communal Projects with Schools

Devising a role - Marie Theresa notices ways to foster and build creativity and innovation, for example seeing a gap and the benefits of an in-house photographer, designer and videographer at Caterham School, she devised and pitched a business plan to stakeholders to create this role.

Photography and Art Teaching in Ukraine

Course Development - Marie Theresa has forged links between private and state schools, academies and youth centres, bringing students together to share ideas and collaborate on projects. This included working in partnership with a school in Ukraine across a three-year period, with A Level students who we supported to teach younger students in lessons in English, art and photography. All the students gave positive feedback about the different benefits of the experience, how this boosted their confidence and allowed them to evaluate their own and others’ work. Adult Collaborators

Crafting courses from concept to delivery for corporate companies such as Legal and General, for independent businesses such as EDLA, Landscape Architecture and charities, communities and individuals.

The workshop spaces seek to move through non-hierarchical conversations and to the unexpected sociability of the unknown encounters ahead, to pose a speculative space to think with the temporalities of photography. To offer a meditative space to explore together.

Photography Theory

This course offered all new material from previous photography courses and was aimed at all levels. Members explored photography inspiration and experiment with techniques. The sessions sought to offer pathways into what is happening in the world of photography. The course explored photography histories and why they can help us today, learning from modern and contemporary photography, looking to the wonder of astronomy photography, inspiration from wildlife and travel photography, spotlighting key themes and photographers, understanding how to navigate photography spaces such as festivals, and ending with photography close to home with British and Irish photography. Each session was packed with inspiration from photographers as well as a wealth of practical activities and tools to be used within members’ own photography, which included online resources crafted especially for members of the course.
